York South-Weston is known as Ward 5 within the 25 wards that make up the city of Toronto, Canada. This vibrant and diverse community, located in the northwest part of the city, truly embodies the rich essence of Toronto with its blend of cultures, traditions, and experiences.

I am running for City Councillor for York South-Weston because I have a deep-rooted connection to this ward. It was the first place I called home after my son, and I relocated to Toronto from Montreal in 2010. Living in this community has given me valuable insights into the needs and aspirations of its residents, making it a vital part of my journey in Ontario. I am committed to collaborating with everyone to improve the quality of life for all in York South-Weston.

This photograph was captured after school on Remembrance Day in 2010, right next to my home in the York South-Weston area. On that particular day, the school gave us poppies to wear in remembrance of those who served in the armed forces in Canada.
